Meet the BB16 Cast

Happy *6 Days* until BB16, y'all!! :D Today, we meet the cast of Big Brother 16! Who will we love? who will we hate? Who will we love to hate? ;)

Well it looks like all the rumors were FALSE! This season we are greeted with 16 fresh faced newbies! I'm so happy about this. I love seeing an all-new cast. Thank you, Robyn Kass (casting director) for listening to all of us BB fans!

And without further ado, here are the BB16 houseguests that you will be seeing on the live feeds all summer long!!

The BB16 Houseguests are:

Amber Borzotra

Age: 26
Hometown: Knoxville, Tenn.
Current City: North Hollywood, Calif.
Occupation: Esthetician
Three adjectives that describe you: Courageous, free spirit and nurturing.
Favorite Activities: I like to hike, kayak, rock climb, yoga, spelunking, horseback riding, write, late night cow tipping, skinny dipping, streaking, prank calling, playing in Wal-Mart, dirt bikes and skeet shooting.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Not being able to talk to my mom, sister, or best friend any time I want and not having all the food I want to eat.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: It's all a secret! When money is on the line I'll do anything it takes to win. Well, ALMOST anything.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I like Howard just because he was good looking. At the end of the day this is a game, I just like pretty people!
What are you afraid of:  Spiders, snakes and having to eat bananas.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: Going an entire year without sex or out on a date.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… Sh*t could be worse...
What would you take into the house and why: Walkie Talkies just because they're fun, my karaoke machine for sleepless nights and a camera for memories. I just want to have a good time!
What would you do if “Big Brother” made you famous: I would enjoy my moment, but still stay humble. I would love to take my family on a vacation, pay it forward and make sure my mother never had to work again. I would like to pay off my debts and maybe one day become an entertainment or ESPN host.
Amber loves to play pranks on people. Being raised by a single mother in low income housing has taught her what it’s like to struggle, and she will stop at nothing to win the money so she can help her mother.

Brittany Martinez

Age: 29
Hometown: Long Beach, CA
Current City: Torrance, CA
Occupation: Event Coordinator
Three adjectives that describe you: Fun, loving and loyal.
Favorite Activities: Dancing, working out, being crafty, sewing and fashion.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Being away from my family and kids. I've never gone longer than a weekend without my kids let alone months of not seeing them or talking with them. The same goes for my family. We’re a very tight knit family so that’s going to be a challenge for me.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: I'm going to go in without too much of a set strategy until I’ve been able to feel out the other house guests.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Britney was pretty entertaining to watch.
What are you afraid of: Heights! I am terrified of heights!
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: My determination to never give up. I refuse to let my past and the hard times get the best of me.
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… To live, to love and to repeat it daily.
What would you take into the house and why: Pictures of my kids, my phone and my best friend.
What would you do if “Big Brother” made you famous: I would never forget where I came from and all those who have always been there for me before I became famous.
Brittany is a mother of three who once faked labor to get out of a speeding ticket.  She recently started dating again after 8 years of marriage.

Caleb Reynolds

Age: 26
Hometown: Dallas, Texas
Current City: Hopkinsville, Ky.
Occupation: Adventure Hunting Guide
Three adjectives that describe you: Loyal, talented and charming.
Favorite Activities: Horseback riding, rock climbing, going to the gym, riding bikes, hunting and fishing.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: The most difficult part is being watched at all times, because everything I’m doing my family back at home is watching. Also, throwing a sexy girl that likes me under the bus will be hard but I will do what I have to do, so kiss me, lay with me, have sex with me, tell me you love me, I’m still in it to win.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: Yes I have a strategy, I will make sure I have the ladies in my pocket.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I liked Hayden because he has the same mindset that I would have had in the house. He plays his cards right even if he has a bad hand and he makes his cards work to his advantage.
What are you afraid of: I’m not a fan of clowns, but other than that I’m pretty fearless.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: My military service. (**THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, CALEB!)
Finish this sentence: My life’s motto is… If you want something bad enough, do whatever you got to do to get it; no matter the consequence.
What would you take into the house and why: My bible just to get my daily word in and scriptures to give me guidance and peace. I would take my iPod to put me to sleep, to jam out and to listen to when I hit the weights in the yard. Also, my hair products and hygiene kit so I smell good and look good for the ladies.
What would you do if Big Brother made you famous: I would give back to the people that has helped me and held my hand through my struggles, and I would try my best not to turn into another Justin Bieber.
Caleb joined the army after high school and was a prison guard in Iraq.  He and his family run a hunting business, and his favorite movie is The Notebook.

Christine Brecht

Age: 23

Favorite Activities: Exploring new cities. I love going out and seeing new places. Also, I love hanging out with my friends and playing Settlers of Catan and watching reality TV.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: I do not know how I am going to go without seeing my husband and family, but I know I can do it! Not being able to explore and being stuck in one place. Also, I don't want to clean up everyone’s messes.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: I plan on being nice and having everyone confide in me to get information from all over the house. I really want to have a strong pack with only three to four people that I stay loyal to till the end. I don't want to play both sides of the house, but I'm not saying I won't.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I love Howie, I just loved his personality and I love Mike Boogie's game. Helen amazed me with her ability to feel out what was happening in the house.

Christine once threw a surprise birthday party for a homeless man in the park, was in a hot air balloon accident in high school, but only walked away with bruises. She has been to Disneyland more than 50 times.

Cody Calafiore

Age: 23
Hometown: Hackensack, N.J.
Current City: Howell, N.J.
Occupation: Sales Account Executive
Three adjectives that describe you: Outgoing, happy-go-lucky and empathetic.
Favorite Activities: I love going on runs, working out and going to the gym.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: From watching previous seasons, not having communications from the outside world seems like the most difficult part, it causes all sorts of paranoia about twists in the game. Also, I always have the TV on to fall asleep; it will be difficult to not have one.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: No! Thinking about all the different ways to get to the end is enough to make my head explode! It will be a game time decision for me once I get into the house.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Jeff -  he was an extremely smart player and was just a genuinely good person.
What are you afraid of: Losing family, snakes and being in the pitch black is pretty freaky.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: Being picked up by a professional soccer team.

Age: 30
Hometown: Providence, R.I.
Current City: Providence, R.I.
Occupation: Police Officer - Sergeant
Three adjectives that describe you: Confident, methodical and ambitious.
Favorite Activities: I am a big fan of guns and enjoy modifying and shooting them; I get to use most of them at work. Also, I like to scuba dive.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Being away from my family for so long. Even though you are in the house with other people, you have to remember that they are trying to take $500,000 away from you and it will be tough to not have my family to release some of the tension.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: My strategy involves three phases. First, attempt to find common interests with as many houseguests as I can, while developing a profile on them. Second, start using the facts I learned about the houseguests against them. Finally, if I’m able to win a few HOH's/POV's late in the game, I can make some moves that will determine the winner.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I love that Dan Gheesling was always using sports analogies to pump himself up because I'm the same way.
What are you afraid of: I am not a fan of heights.

What would you take into the house and why:  A picture of my daughter as she is everything to me, my memory foam pillow since I need a good night sleep and a deck of cards.
What would you do if Big Brother made you famous: I would try and use it to make some positive changes. I would like to give back to my family and help out the kids of Central Falls. Also, I'm a huge animal lover. Sign me up for anything I can do to help reduce the number of puppy mills, kill shelters and helping animals get adopted. (**I LOVE YOU ALREADY, DERRICK!!)

Three adjectives that describe you: Complex, loyal and entertaining.
Favorite Activities: The gym is a huge part of my life. I love to hike and relax on the beach as much as I can as well.
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: I’m a pretty big guy who needs to eat; Grumpy Devin comes about when food is not available.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: Of course, it’s all about making friends and not enemies at all cost. Not everyone will like you, but you have to try to bond with your housemates to build trust. Also, you have to rule very politically if you’re at the top so it may be beneficial to lay low in the weeds until the final five.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Hayden played the game right.
What are you afraid of: I am afraid of rats, rats and rats.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: I’m proud that I attained most of my athletic goals that I set out to achieve. I love that I was able to give my mom a sense of relief by not having to pay for college. I had to give up baseball so that I could be a good father and I’m happy with that choice every day of my life because having my daughter trumps all other accomplishments.

Favorite Activities: Biking, swimming, twerking, doing impersonations and making funny videos with my friends!
What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house:  Being disconnected. I think I would love it for a week or even two, but eventually I would start to go into Twitter withdrawal.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: I am going to be the happy likable person that everyone wants to keep around in the beginning, but I will be good at competitions. I will use the HOH's that I win to make everyone want to be on my side.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I love Britney; she was likable, aggressive, manipulative and entertaining.
What are you afraid of: Spiders, ever since one almost killed me.  I am totally fine with insects though because I studied entomology in college.

Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: Yes, my outer personality will be a perfect cover for the secret competitor that I truly am.  I am the funny guy, I'm young and immature which will play to my advantage; but I'm also a marathoner, a former college hockey player and a very smart and creative thinker. I will never throw a competition and I won’t lie about who I am or my life, but I'm willing to backstab people. I will seek an alliance very early on with the guys, and I am not considering a showmance. I know I can win this game with my charm and underlying physical and mental talent.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Hayden because he resembles me in just about every way possible. He was the west coast, flippy-haired, chill, attractive dude with the same first name. What are you afraid of: I am not fond of snakes and spiders.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of: I am most proud of becoming a mother. I know this sounds cliché, but getting my degrees weren’t as hard as both of my pregnancies. During my first pregnancy I had to overcome a lot of obstacles. I was on bed rest for 5 months and was fired because of it. I would take my Motivational Speaking to another level based upon my fame.
Jocasta is a minister who once got into an argument with a church goer for complaining about her not wearing panty hose.  She would swear on the bible to win the game of Big Brother and plays pranks on her husband when she’s angry with him.

What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother house: Forming an alliance you can trust. Going into the Big Brother house thinking someone is going to have your back might be the craziest thought yet. Also, not seeing familiar faces will be difficult too.
Do you have a strategy for winning Big Brother?: Ideally, I would want to align with a male who would excel in the physical competitions and have a secret final 2 deal and have separate alliances on top of that. I want to win the first HOH so everyone can come to me and I can feel them out and see who I think I could trust.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: Dan because he is intelligent and cocky which made for good TV. Ian was one of my favorites too. He can talk nerdy to me anytime. Also, Jordan was too cute and sweet not to love.

Meeeeehhhhhhhhhhh.

Another season of all attractive twentysomethings with one token old weirdo.

I tried to get my gf into BB last season, but it was hard to convince her that the show is about throwing together people from all walks of life when the cast looked like the rejected group from a One Tree Hill audition. Everyone's first interviews were so vapid and shallow, it made me cringe.

I'm getting a really similar vibe from these profiles.

Oh, and Hayden is originally from the town next to the one I grew up in, which was our bigger, smugger rival town. Lovely.

Im really liking this cast and its diversity. You have a good mix of young adults and adults, an elder, you have the token gay (but that is awesome that he is ariana grandes brother!!), 3 BLACK PEOPLE!!, An Asian, a middle eastern. Some parents, some hipsters. Im just really loving the diversity of the cast

The people that stand out to me as probably not knowing much if anything about the game and/or just wanting to be on TV judging by fav player and if BB made you famous questions are:

Amber
Fav HG: "Howard just because he was good looking. I just like pretty people!"
BB Fame: "become an entertainment or ESPN host."

Joey
Fav HG: GM "because she always had a great attitude."

Paola
Fav HG: not listed (and I'd be curious)
BB Fame: "I hope that I would gain more social media followers."

I also laughed at Donny's fav HG of Spencer saying "He was a likable person that I could relate to." I'm hoping he didn't keep up with the live feeds LOL

Interesting Hayden BB12 certainly had a lot of love from this cast. He's definitely an underrated player in BB history but I'm thinking they must've given out BB12 DVDs as were also a few who said Brit was their fav as well. So answer was overall BB12 heavy.

Speaking of Hayden in a way this cast's Hayden seemed to stand out to me through my 1st skimming through of these Q&As as someone who's answers I liked for the most part more than others.

Lastly I'm not sure exactly what this Team America will entail but to me Frankie would seem to have a HUGE advantage in acquiring fan votes given his large online fan base as well as his sister's even larger fan base which I'm sure she will try to employ to help her brother. That could definitely unfairly skew the game especially early on even more so than Elissa last season.

Andy, I agree with you. Seems like there are no "normal, run of the mill" people. I am curious to see how things go on-air.

After watching the interviews, reading the bios, and in general taking time to think about it I am a fan of Nicole, Devin, Christine, and Joey. I thought that Donny, Derrick, and Cody might be interesting as well. I am a fan of the diversity, as well as the super fans and not so super fans.

I will say though that there were a couple of girls that I just could not stand off of the bat like Victoria and Amber. They struck me as very shallow and I can't stand the "girls don't like me because they are jealous attitude." If that is your thought process than maybe you should be thinking about how you act that might make women not like you.

I'm not a huge fan of Caleb either because he seems to be one of the over-thinkers/plays too hard too fast kind of people. I have never been a fan of those kinds of players so I am hoping he is one of the first out.

Overall though for all the people claiming there is no diversity in this crowd I beg to differ. I think that there is a lot of people from different walks in this group and I am even more excited for next week!

A bit off topic, so I apologize in advance. Does anyone know if Big Brother afterdark is coming back this season? I can't find any info.

I'm a huge StL Cardinals fan, and I lived for 13 yrs in Astoria NY, so I'm predisposed to root for Devin and Paola. We'll see how long that lasts...

I was really hoping the rumors would have been true. I love seeing vets back in the house. I would love to see Evel Dick and Crazy James play the game together some day. And, with CBS running BB7, I thought maybe it would be an allstars 2 this year. Oh well.

I can never really judge the cast until the first episode. Just a pic with some random questions really doesn't tell you who they are. If it did, chances are good that a few people never would have ended up in the house at all last year. Looking forward to next week for sure, though.

After watching all the videos and reading all the bios, I get the best first impressions from Devin, Joey, and Derrick. I kind of like Paola and Christine too.

Can't stand Frankie and don't like that he already has a fan base (both from his sister and YouTube). Is it going to be just like Elissa last year where he wins every America vote from the non-BB fanbase?

Zach just comes off as a bit of a jerk to me. Many of the houseguest just felt shallow in their videos so hopefully that doesn't turn out to be true in the game.

Brian thank you for the info.😊

I guess I just feel like the show is more interesting when they cast several people outside the models-and-aspiring-young-actors demo. Renny, Jerry, Chicken George, Ragan, and Evel Dick were some of my favorite players.

I just hope this cast contains more varied personalities than last season's.

Im really excited about this cast! Im happy it is all new people and they seem better than last years, but i dont want to jinx it haha.

Seems like the same stereotypical token cast we get every year. Same ole dudes, bros and blond girls with the bikini models (oh, i like pretty people?)...OMG we get a token flamboyant gay man and he has a large twitter following to boot and a famous sister so maybe he will boost our ratings. Not 1 but 2 black people! A guy in his 40s..,with a beard! and from a small Southern town! And a girl with BLUE hair!
