Afternoon in the BB16 House + Veto Ceremony

Good afternoon, BB addicts! At 11:10am BBT, the live feeds switched to fishies which means it's time for the Veto Ceremony! Zach (veto winner) will pull himself off the block & then Nicole will go up as the renom. Nicole doesn't know she's going up, but she has a bad feeling she is. We'll see what kind of drama awaits us once the feeds come back on.

Currently on the live feeds...

11:46am BBT:
Feeds are back.

The Renom is:
NICOLE
Christine is taking comfort in her boyfriends arms in the HOH room as she talks about how awkward it was to renom Nicole. She's laughing at about it though.

11:48am BBT:
Nicole/Donny are walking together outside.
Nicole is saying that she kinda knew she'd go up because Christine/Derrick were acting different, Cody wouldn't look her in the eye, and Frankie was "way too happy". Nicole said that the jury isn't looking good for Christine and that she's "0-3" so far for votes. Nicole said she doesn't really care at this point if she goes home, if they want her out that bad, then she'll go.

Nicole: "She wants to be the last girl with the guys."

Nicole said after the Double Eviction last Thursday, there's nothing that can shock her and that they were looking for a shocked reaction.

Donny: "The fact that for one of us the game's over."
Nicole: "She looks so mean when she talks." (re: Christine)

Nicole said she's grateful that she got to play Big Brother and got this far. Nicole said she'll never give Christine her vote at the end.

Meanwhile, upstairs in the HOH room, Christine/Frankie/Caleb/Cody are talking about the 6 of them sticking together and planning on getting Donny/Victoria out next week.

12:00pm BBT:
Nicole: "Please win HOH next week, Donny! It'll be endurance."
Donny: "You think?"
Nicole: "Yea." (*We are WAY overdue! We haven't one since week 1.)

Nicole said she knew she was going up when Victoria didn't change into a nice dress.
Nicole: "So I figured I'd just wear my overalls."
Donny laughs.

Nicole said it's not acceptable to her to play the game "dirty" and somethings aren't worth money. Nicole said she's gonna just be normal in the house. Donny said to just try to relax and get back to normal because they have to "live with these people for 4 more days". Nicole laughs.

12:15pm BBT:
Donny/Nicole are still talking.
Donny said that the guys are gonna have to start turning on each other and how great that's gonna be.

**I'm gonna stop the Afternoon Post here but I'll be updating over on twitter, so make sure to follow me at: @BBaddictedJamie (there's also a pic of how Frankie/Caleb/Cody all "celebrated" that's a must-see.) See y'all over on Twitter! :)

Stay tuned...

Ugh, I can't even watch the feeds or even look at pictures of Frankie/Christine. Christine is so gross. And don't get me started with Frankie. Christine just can't stand that Nicole gets all the male attention. Pretty sure she must have been the "nerd" in high school, and is basking the little attention she gets now.

If I were her husband, her clothes would be waiting for her on the lawn when she gets back.

And one more thing....she sure is NOT a superfan....talk about Britney 2.0. She'll be the next to go, along with Victoria shortly after.

UGHHHHHHHHH!!! I am so over this season of Big Brother! Honestly once Nicole leaves it just clears the way for the boys to run threw Donny, Christine and even worthless Victoria. There is no fun in watching people get picked off like this.

This has been the most boring, predictable season in BB history. And has seriously turned me off from the game I love so much. Don't know if ill continue to watch if Nicole goes home Thurs. Say what you want about her, but she and Donny were the only once who were willing to go against the grain and make some moves. SMH

I'm so disappointed in this season. I think the producers have successfully managed to keep all of the people that make this season suck from getting voted out, allowing the good guys/gals to be voted out. The producers are so worried about losing viewers because the players that create the drama are voted out, they don't see that they will lose viewers because the game is so rigged. I know this isn't the first season that they've intervened, but it is just so blatantly obvious this season it's pathetic. :-(

This game has been the same every season with all the same complaints as if you havvvvve to watch lol. I like this season.

Marie said...

I can only hope somehow 2 players get to come back into the game instead of just one like last year...if they want to "influence" the game - let it be a bigger twist! Hayden and Nicole would be an awesome return combo!! If only one of them comes back, it will just be a repeat of last year and right back out the door again! (poor Judd...)

I just wish Christine could go home, she is on my nerves. @Jamie- your comment about Christine taking comfort in her boyfriends arms made me laugh-so true!!! I would be uncomfortable with that relationship If I was her husband watching at home. If I was him, I.would never watch the feeds. I will be devastated if Donny leaves, and ok if Nicole goes. My two favs are Zach and Donny (what a weird mixture). I'm hoping Derrick, Cody and Frankie fail at hoh this week.

Angela Foster said...

Yeah I'm starting not to like this season either but I never wanna miss a beat just in case something good does happen.

And yes, Christine NEEDS TO GO. I'm so tired of looking at her. I definitely want to know what her husband thinks of her being all over Cody and loving the attention from the guys. I just don't know If I'd even want my fiance to look at me when I got home.. I'd be ashamed!

Gigi said...

Umm if they don't have viewers the show gets cancelled. Nobody wants to watch a bunch of nice people getting along. They watch for the drama.

I think the HOH comp when someone gets to come back in will be endurance like last season. And I don't think they are going to bring someone back with just 3 Jury members. I think they will most likely wait till at least 4 Jury members are playing which would be next week. Plus they'd want to wait till there was actually someone in Jury they'd like to bring back in LOL. So I don't think this week will be endurance as I don't think they'd do 2 in a row. And if you're rooting for Donny you shouldn't want it to be endurance as he'd almost certainly be 1 of the 1st few out with the winner being 1 of Caleb/Cody/Frankie/Zach. Also I don't remember for a fact if they did so last season but I believe they'll want to promote it a week in advance that a Jury member will come back just like they do when they have a DE coming up.

Brian

Jamie said...

you are 100% correct, Brian. As overdue we are for an endurance, it'll be when theres 4 jury members (which is next thursday, not this week) and then they'll battle it out in the endurance comp.

Missmobay said...

Can't stand Christine and Zach also Frankie disgust me trying to use his sister name to get far. Who is Arianna Grande, I don't know about anybody else but to me she's just another person. I would like to see Frankie, Christine and Zach voted off.

Man with Donny suddenly staying now I thought there'd be more people happy yet it's still just mostly complaints. I guess that's just how it is every season though.

As far as Christine putting up Nicole it's not like the guys were lying when they told Christine Nicole's plan if she stayed HOH and Frankie came off was to backdoor Christine. And no matter what Christine did with her renom today she wasn't going to be in a great spot next week. But I do tend to think she is in a slightly better position getting rid of Nicole. She was only going to have 1 of Donny or Nicole left in the house and of the 2 I think there actually is less chance of Donny putting her up then Nicole as their relationship has been so volatile hot and cold. And if Nicole would've put her up this week there's a good chance she would put her up next week if she won as well.

Also if she didn't put up Nicole and Donny went home I think she would've been the clear #2 target for all the guys if Nicole was safe as they would've viewed them as working together which is not the case with Donny. Now with Nicole gone if Donny wins POV I could see Cody or Derrick targeting Frankie or Zach over Christine and I could see Zach and especially Frankie targeting each other instead of Christine. Plus Caleb is seemingly so easily influenced I could see him being talked into going after Zach or Frankie as well instead of Christine if Donny saves himself.

Viewers watch & have watched since season 1 when there was little to no drama!
Yes, the drama is fun to watch, but this is a GAME first & foremost!
Viewers do NOT like to watch a rigged, scripted, tampered,
& unauthentic game, that is not why we watch!
I think the show is on its last leg because of all of the BS that production has & continues to do to their benefit!
It's quite sad that production cannot & refuses to leave well enough alone!
Keep it up BB production & see how long this works for ya, ya bunch of dingus holes!

Chris Provost said...

If Nicole leaves this week, I believe Christine will be next to go, because Derrick will realize this will hurt Frankie. He needs to keep the numbers.

Alea Marie said...

That is exactly what will happen if only one player comes back.
They will no doubt get evicted right away.
Sooo why even have a return player re-enter?
We ALL know what will happen if only 1 returns...
It's far from being a "twist" when that HG returns to the game only to walk right back out.
The numbers are completely against anyone who returns for staying.
Now if BB production has half a brain between all of em, then they would have an Oppurtunity for 2 players to return which would then be at least 3 HG on the same side
especially if one of the 3 wins HoH, but that would NEVER happen because that would leave productions precious baby Frankie in a compromising position & most def leaving the house.
Sooo yeah, that would never happen...
Thanks again BB production for ruining it for just about all of us "super" fans that have been watchin since season one!

Alea Marie said...

I'm with ya Doll.
I would LOVE to see Derrick in the hot seat, but I really doubt anyone left would ever nominate or vote for him to be evicted except Donny.
Derrick has played an almost flawless game at this point & unless Donny wins HOH I don't think Derrick has anything to worry about....

Alea Marie said...

I agree Witt you completely about Christine, but she'll probably just tell her hubs that it was all part of her Stradegy & game, but somehow I find that hard to believe as her truth. I think she saw an Oppurtunity in getting "close" with Cody, then once he started to reciprocate to her, she got too caught up in that attention from him & carried on even more.
I do not believe she is used to getting this type of attention from men & is just eating it up and loving it. She rarely even mentions her hubs anymore like she used to so maybe she forgot about that one true man waiting for her back in her home, maybe she no longer cares? I don't know.
What I DO know is that for a recently married woman, she sure isn't acting like one.
There have been MANY married women on this show & I do not remember a one of them acting in the manner of which Christine has been acting....
It is beyond disgusting to watch her...

Gigi said...

Well, they've been doing is for several years and people still watch so clearly it's not that big if a problem for people.

Alea Marie said...

I too agree with you Brian about this week not being the week that a jury member has an Oppurtunity to return. I also agree that production will wait till there IS a jury member that THEY want to return & have that comp then. Gawd forbid Frankie gets evicted & that Oppurtunity not be there for him to return.

Cullen Sanders said...

Why are they so concerned with hurting Frankie's game by voting out his allies? If Frankie is such a problem, VOTE HIM OUT INSTEAD

Alea Marie said...

You are %100 right about Derrick seeing an Oppurtunity in keeping the numbers. So he would def keep Christine because of that...

Alea Marie said...

On the contrary, if you've seen the poll about the viewers lost over the past few seasons then you would know that it IS a big deal & that their interference has actually damaged ratings.
So yeah, it IS a big deal to us "super" fans!

Its funny how Donny is really the only one worried about Derrick.Nicole talked about how she thinks Frankie is a puppet master..... Yea right the one pulling almost everyone's strings in that house is derrick and only Donny can see that

Janely Castro said...

Just a couple days ago they all wanted to get Frankie out so I don't think the guys influencing who will be the renom is to benefit Frankie seeing as how they don't really trust him anymore its more so to help benefit their own game ie Cody/derrick/Caleb

What a great analysis but well see what does happen since these Ppl change their mind pretty much hourly

All the people that will be left once Donny goes are the people who are playing so Derrick wins, it's pathetic, if they knew how manipulated they have been! He even said yesterday that he needed them to stick together and not throw his game so he can win and everyone yes yes, are you serious? The only one who can read through Derrick is Donny, hopefully he wins HOH and puts Derrick and Cody up.

@Alea Marie

I get what you're trying to say, but many of the contestants over the years that have come back into the game do not get voted back out immediately. In fact they're usually given some kind of "reward" for getting back in. And since production is all about intervening, if a fan favorite makes it back in then I'm sure they'll do something to protect them.

Emry Kin said...

Agreed. Big examples are Rachel and Janelle.

@ Alea Marie

I totally agree with you. Especially about how the game used to be played. I have watched since season 1 and up until the past 2 seasons, people that made personal attacks were usually the first to go. It used to be that you got rid of someone that was a "game" threat. Which, Nicole actually is! In fact, I think Derrick is the only houseguest that is playing strategically. That is why he is dominating this whole thing.
BTW, Christine's husband put out a tweet this morning that said Christine will be the next to go if she votes out Nicole.

@Kern

They didn't give Judd anything last season and he was a big fan favorite. They gave him an equal shot to win HOH which I imagine they'll do this yr as well but that was it. Although this yr with dual HOH they could make returnee guaranteed 1 of the 2 HOHs bit that seems a little much for me.

I'm just curious, how is it blatantly obvious that production interfered this year?

Stephanie Kitchens said...

Yes, every year people say this is the worst season ever and the cast sucks lol. I personally really like this season too. After last year and all the controversy this has been a great year. I think we earned a new great BB player too in Derrick.

Stephanie Kitchens said...

Even though I personally like Derrick, everybody inside that house is corrupt. It's a game not a slumber party. I don't think it's fair to judge how somebody is outside of the house and at their careers. He could be a very good cop.

Stephanie Kitchens said...

I know production tries to intervene sometimes by asking certain questions and wording things a certain way but I don't think it goes as far as some people claim. People saying the BOTB was rigged for Frankie kinda seems like a leap. That was a very elaborate set up and even included a reward for the winners to leave the house. How could they change or make that happen in only a few hours notice? Maybe I didn't word that well but you know what I mean I hope lol

Sad 😔 news... I love Nicole. I dont get it. When will girls on these reality shows realize they need to band together. Does Christine not know how this story ends? The guys always stick together & cut the girl. Derrick really seems brilliant, manipulating everyone yet not anyone's target. No blood, likeable - all he has to do is win challenges at the end. He's safe next week too. I want Frankie out. bad... And preferably by blindside. But this House seems to flip more than any. Nicole is probably toast.. And no way donny would win an endurance comp... But Frankie can. At least Nicole can snuggle up with Hayden... Is there a chance Hayden, Nicole, jocasta, amber join the hoh endurance comp to get back in the house? The boys running the table will continue the boredom. Ive seen worse but several sites are calling it the worst season ever because of the predictability

Ste ven said...

The comp wasn't rigged. In some ways its harder with 2 people cuz you have to coordinate. Its Caleb fault for sitting out. If you want to throw it, you'd play & sabotage it. Then Frankie would've been out the door. Just more stupid game play

Ste ven said...

Ask Britney how well being the only girl in a guys Alliance works out

I am really bored with the game also. How much fun is it watching the outsiders get voted off one by one. My husband quit watching three weeks ago and won't watch it with me at all now.
People say that Nicole and Donny don't play the game. Perhaps Donny's game is to try being nice to everyone and hope that strategy works.
Other than Derrick, the guys don't play either. They go along with whatever Derrick says. People are glad to see the floaters getting voted out first. The ones people say deserve to win (and who are supposedly not floaters) basically were lucky enough for DEVIN to have recruited for the BS. They are "floating" on Derrick's shirttail and don't make decisions on their own. The outsiders are outnumbered and try to go along with them just to stay afloat for another week. They simply don't have the numbers to get who they want out. Donny and Nicole truly did mess up when they included outsiders in their picks. They could have gotten one of the detonators out at least.
Derrick wants Victoria to go to the end because he can control her exclusively, and she would be the easiest to win against in the end. It should be interesting when they have to vote out one of their own that they don't want to. Who will go first, the alliance member or Victoria...will some of the alliance members decide it's time to vote with their own mind and vote out Victoria instead of their alliance member and go against what Derrick says?
That is what would make it interesting is when they vote on their own instead of with the house.

Alea Marie said...

There are sooo many examples, but the most obvious one (and almost everyone would agree) is this last BOB when they changed things up so that Frankie could win by himself because they knew ahead of time that Caleb planned on throwing the comp by literally sitting it out. Up until that BOB competition, it was not possible actully almost impossible to win it on your own, but they sure did make this last BOB possible to win solo.
Whether or not you are a Frankie fan, that was wrong and it had production interference written all over it.
Again, this is not news to anyone that has been watching BB the last couple of seasons....

Alea Marie said...

@Janely
Yes, Donny is a huge favorite of many, but I think production & the network both think & feel that Frankie brings in the most viewers strictly on who his sister is & I'm sure they're counting on her fans to boost viewers & fans...

Alea Marie said...

Exactly Stephanie.
I think it's sooo rude to ASSume anything about someone's livelihood ESPECIALLY when you do not know them personally!
Why would anyone suggest that Derrick is a "crooked" or "corrupt" cop?
Not cool...

Alea Marie said...

@Kern
I was actually basing it off of last season with Judd when he returned & was then pretty much back out within 1-2 weeks of returning (I think 1, but could be wrong & it have been 2)...

Alea Marie said...

Actually I believe Derrick is Donny's target because Donny saw right through Derreick very early on...

I mean, we're on season 16 and they've been shady from the jump so again it's obviously not a bg deal. Maybe some of the so called "super" fans care but it's not enough for the show to go off air. Now he's been playing the game

Alea, I'm curious about how BB changed the competition to make it so that Frankie would win. Would you care to explain how production modified the game board and mechanism?

Loyd F said...

@Stephanie Kitchens,

My comment about production's interference being blatantly obvious was based on the following from Saturday's Overnighter:

"Last night during the BOTB Comp, Caleb threw it by sitting out. BB asked him if he was opting out, he said yes. Once he realized that the comp was actually easier to do alone, Caleb tried to re-enter the comp but was not allowed since he already opted out. This is how Frankie won by himself. (Twitter exploded last night with talks of production rigging and that the comp started late so that they could change it so Frankie would win on his own.)"

If that rumor is accurate, then I stand by my words. However, none of that made the show (no surprise there), so I don't know how to confirm the rumor. If it's just a rumor, then I take back what I said. :-)

Becky Hebert said...

Christine is a snake. I think, as well as many I know that watch, her husband should pack her naked bags and send her on her way. No married woman, unless they are swingers, should behave like she has -stroking on other man.. I feel sorry for her family. Obviously, she needs attention.

Becky Hebert said...

Im sp sick of Frankie. Ughh such a narcist. Im no longer watching BB. christine, supposedly a married nudist?? Even with her clothes on she globs on to as much attention the guys give her. If i were her "husband"..i would have her bags packed.

Stephanie Kitchens said...

I have seen almost every season whether while it airs or after the fact on YouTube. But I just don't think the BOB challenge was rigged. The prize and theme was way too elaborate and had to been somebody else playing by themselves I don't think they would have won solo. Zach tried by himself and failed. I'm not a Frankie fan in the least either. I know production acts leading questions and tries to seay houseguests but I don't think it's as fixed as some make it out to be. Everyone said the same thing last year when Amanda won her first POV.

Grandma in the south said...

I think Cbs would have a better season if they had put someone else in the game that could read people and be as likeable as Derrick is. It would have all of us sitting on the edge of our seat everyday.

Kim @ TiesThatBindQuilting said...

Stephanie - I've also heard that with the BOB comp this week, Caleb tried to join and start sabotaging but production wouldn't let him since he'd already said he was going to sit and watch Frankie do it alone.

Obviously it is a little hard to confirm that since the comp isn't shown on the feeds and they clearly aren't going to put that in the edit for the aired TV show. But if true, I'd say that is pretty major production interference.

eyecomment said...

Whether or not it has a net positive or negative effect on the game, I find it amusing that so many people are seemingly upset about "production interference". The game is called Big Brother -- as in big brother is listening. And maybe trying to influence the outcome...just like in real life.

I also think if Derrick was put on the block, he would not go home because he is everyone friend.

bc89fa2a-a95b-11e3-99c7-000bcdca4d7a said...

@Stephanie

It's possible I suppose since there was such a long delay before the comp that they had another comp planned for the day which would've been impossible for Frankie to win alone and then switched to that comp to give him at least an even if not better chance of winning. After all that comp was promoting the Ravens vs Steelers TNF game which isn't till Sep 11 so it would've made sense if it was done closer to the actual game.

Also if the whole Caleb not being allowed to get up from sitting down and take his end of the chain to cause them to lose is true that also seems like a strange ruling that I couldn't imagine they had written in beforehand. Now if those things took place it might not fit the strict definition of rigging since it's not like the comp was fixed so that only Frankie could def win. However I would consider it shady for BB to alter things to favor giving a specific player they want to keep around a considerably better shot at staying thus giving almost everyone else a considerably better shot at leaving.

Also as far as Zach trying on his own and failing he did so very late in the game when they had much harder shots to make. He didn't have the easier early shots to get the hang of it. If you saw when Frankie 1st started playing he could barely get the ball going up at all and quickly fell behind as it took him several tries to make even the easier shots. Then once he got the hang of how to go about doing it on his own he caught right up and went ahead and won.
